From Haiti to the World: AlerteUnité's Global Safety Movement

The Insight

AlerteUnité began with a simple observation: in fragile contexts, communities were already coordinating crisis response on their own. The resilience was there, what was missing was infrastructure capable of capturing those signals and making them visible to institutions responsible for response.

The System Gap

Growing up Haitian Canadian, repeated visits to Port-au-Prince revealed a widening disconnect between institutional reporting and lived reality on the ground. That gap shaped the idea behind AlerteUnité: real-time community risk signals are the missing layer in most humanitarian and emergency response systems.

Building the Platform

Drawing on 15 years of experience in health information and decision-support systems, I built AlerteUnité to serve both sides of that gap. Communities gain coordination tools designed for low-connectivity crisis environments, while institutions gain structured, validated insight that traditional reporting systems rarely capture.

In many of the regions where the platform operates, crisis is not an event but an ongoing condition. AlerteUnité was designed accordingly — not for singular disasters, but for continuous risk environments where real-time visibility can shape faster and more effective response.

WHY WE EXIST

Our Vision

We aim to establish a global standard for community coordination — especially in environments where traditional institutions struggle to maintain visibility. When communities have the right tools and institutions have reliable insight, response becomes faster, engagement increases, and trust begins to rebuild.

We believe the future of crisis response is not built around acting for communities, but enabling them to coordinate effectively while ensuring institutions can see and respond to real conditions on the ground.

A SUSTAINABLE MODEL DESIGNED TO SCALE IMPACT

Diaspora services in Canada generate revenue that funds free community coordination tools globally.

Crisis-tested deployments in Haiti, DRC, and Venezuela validate what works in the hardest environments.

Every paying client helps extend essential coordination tools to communities that cannot afford them.

We cannot fix what we cannot see — and communities are often the first to surface the signals that matter most.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Work With Us

We work with organizations building stronger community resilience — from preparedness and early warning to coordinated response and recovery.

AlerteUnité enables communities to surface real-time conditions while giving institutions the visibility they need to engage effectively before, during, and after crisis events.

By connecting community signals with operational decision-making, organizations can strengthen preparedness, detect emerging risks earlier, and coordinate recovery with greater clarity.
