About After Five Collective Inc.

After Five Collective Inc. is a social purpose company based in Toronto, Canada, operating AlerteUnité, a community intelligence and early-warning platform. We work alongside communities in Haiti, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Venezuela, and Canada to strengthen resilience to climate and humanitarian emergencies, guided by a “mirror” approach: communities as co-creators, not aid recipients.

02

Purpose of the Grant

The Community Resilience Catalyst Fund exists to support communities facing connectivity and coordination gaps during emergencies, providing fast, flexible resources to restore or strengthen essential communication channels exactly when they are needed most.

03

Eligible Use of Funds

Grant funds must be used primarily to strengthen community connectivity and emergency coordination. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Satellite internet service (such as Starlink)
  • Internet activation fees
  • Solar power systems
  • Batteries
  • Routers
  • Mounting equipment
  • Cabling

  • Communication equipment
  • Other expenses that directly improve community coordination during emergencies

04

Recipient's Commitment

The recipient commits to using the funds responsibly and in line with the objectives of this grant.

Transparency and timely execution

  • Once the funds are received, the community commits to using them within a suggested maximum of fifteen (15) calendar days, to ensure a timely response.
  • Once the expense is made, the community will submit a simple report specifying how the funds were invested, including payment vouchers, receipts, or invoices as supporting documentation for transparency.

05

Use of the Grant and Connectivity Points

The grant will cover the priority needs identified by the community. If communication gaps are detected in the area, funds should preferably be directed toward connectivity solutions (internet service, power, or communication equipment).
